ALL ABout
Much of the training in the criminal defense world is designed for attorneys, not investigators.
These programs often explain what information might be useful in a case, but rarely show investigators how to obtain it. As a result, investigators are left with concepts and ideas, without the practical methods needed to turn that information into usable work.
Most investigative training happens at conferences. While these can be valuable, the format rarely allows time for detailed examples, practice, or step-by-step instruction.
Despite the critical role investigators play in criminal defense, there has been very little training designed specifically for them.
Few programs are comprehensive, built by experienced investigators, and structured so professionals can learn the investigative process at their own pace.
After thousands of cases, we know that criminal defense investigations follow a process. While every case is different, investigators typically move through a series of stages as they gather information, develop leads, and build a clearer picture of what happened.
Watch an overview of the investigative stages below.
Each course we offer focuses on a specific aspect of investigative work. Through detailed instruction, real-world examples, and case-based learning, investigators build proficiency in that area while seeing how the work fits within the full investigative process.
The program continues to grow, and as new courses are released, the curriculum will expand to cover the full investigative process.
